Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade.com went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be coming. That should round things out when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket offer execution like this.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your assessment.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
